September 2023 marked a special milestone in the history of Dixie Springs. Saturday September 20 2023 brought the first ever CC&R-Sanctioned and owner-run election for the Architectural Control Committee1 in Dixie Springs. It has been since 2014 that owners have had the right to appoint the committee members, but this is the first time we have organized to legally do it, and owners did not disappoint! The lines were incredible, the counting took longer than anticipated and we were close to running out of ballots. This was the best turnout to any single event ever seen in Dixie Springs.
This committee will be tasked with ensuring that new houses built in Dixie Springs are all in harmony with the existing homes. Also, in their first public meeting they agreed to a program by which they will work with neighbors to help them overcome any conflicts or issues that might exist, that are not solved by those neighbors’ initial conversations. Also decided that evening was that It is not the job of the ACC to be used as a tool against neighbors, and to support that policy anonymous “tattling” will not be entertained by the committee.
